Schedule

  • Carlos Tamara vs. Ricardo Nunez
  • Round : 12
  • Titale : IBF flyweight eliminator
  • Date : 26 April
  • Location : Panama City

The Panamanian proud has lost just two bouts in his career, one to Drian Francisco and the other by the fists of William De Sousa. When compared to Carlos Tamara, Nunez has a quite convincing upper hand which eventually places the odds in his favour.
Carlos, 29, has been in a total 29 bouts and came out victorious in 22. He has collected 16 of his total wins by knockout and is recently facing a tough time in his career. Widely known as the ‘El Olimpico’, Carlos has a bit height advantage over Ricardo, the ‘El Matematico’ but this facet will not help him much.
Nunez has a good win ratio alongside an impressive knockout percentage. In addition, Ricardo is on a six-bout win streak and not only grabbed the WBC Latino flyweight gold but also the WBA Fedelatin flyweight title.
Carlos, on the other hand, has collected two wins, two losses and a draw decision in his last five skirmishes. His last win after two consecutive losses has the least significance since the Colombian nailed Jorge Ballesteros, a man who had just four wins in his account.
The win though was via second-round knockout yet it is unable to intimidate even a rookie pugilist. A glance at his last five bouts show that he is substantially declining and needs to win this bout at all costs.
All the aspects have been finalised and even the names of bout-referee and the three designated judges have also been finalised. As per the details available, Ricky Gonzalez will intermediate the bout and the trio of Samuel Conde Lopez, Bill Ray and Ric Bays will do the scoring and judgement of the 12-round skirmish.http://boxing-livesports.blogspot.com/2012/04/watch-carlos-tamara-v-ricardo-nunez-ibf.html
